We designed and built leprechaun traps. We used gold coins as bait. In the morning, the coins were gone and those tricky little leprechauns all got away! If you look closely you can still see their footprints. Green, of course! They did leave us mini St. Patrick's Day erasers.
Our class has started student journals on a new app called Seesaw. The kids take photos, videos, etc. of their work and then share it for others to see... including their family. If you haven't signed up yet I recommend that you do, it is awesome!
We have been learning about shadows. The week of Groundhog Day seemed a perfect time to test out what we know about shadows to design and engineer a device to hide a groundhog's shadow. Punxsutawney Phil may have seen his shadow this year but our own Groundhog Gus won't see his!
